The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division of the Nigerian Army, Major General Farouk Mijinyawa, has commissioned a newly constructed Regimental Sergeant Major’s (RSM’s) office at the 35 Artillery Brigade, Alamala Barracks, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The facility, inaugurated on 14 November 2025, was built under the leadership of the Commander, 35 Artillery Brigade, Brigadier General Godwin Nwamba.

Speaking during the ceremony, Brigadier General Nwamba welcomed the GOC and other dignitaries to the dual event, which also featured the commissioning of a new Guards Room and an empowerment outreach for widows of fallen heroes.
He described the RSM’s office as “the heartbeat of discipline and welfare for non-commissioned officers and soldiers,” stressing that the structure will enhance administrative effectiveness within the Brigade.
Nwamba added that the Guards Room represents “the symbol of operational readiness and security of the Brigade,” and commended the support received from the Army hierarchy in improving infrastructure within the formation.
