The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has unveiled a new Information Specialty Badge for personnel of the Directorate of Public Relations and Information (DOPRI), in recognition of the critical role of strategic communication professionals in shaping the Force’s narrative and strengthening public trust.
The newly introduced badge honours the contributions of writers, photographers, videographers, graphic artists, printers and broadcast anchors who work behind the scenes to ensure that the activities and operations of the Nigerian Air Force are communicated with clarity, accuracy and impact.

According to the NAF, the badge, which features the microphone and pen, symbolises DOPRI’s dual responsibility of amplifying the Air Force’s voice and documenting its activities with integrity and professionalism. It also reflects the evolving role of information professionals as key operators in the non-kinetic domain of national security.
