Abuja — The Nigerian Air Force Officers’ Wives Association (NAFOWA), in support of the Nigerian Air Force’s people-centred welfare strategy, has provided medical and humanitarian assistance to over 500 beneficiaries during a Medical and Humanitarian Outreach held on January 24, 2026, at the Nigerian Air Force Base, Bill Clinton Drive, Abuja.

Beneficiaries received free medical consultations, health screenings and other essential healthcare services, in addition to food and non-food items distributed to enhance their overall wellbeing. The initiative was aimed at addressing both health and humanitarian needs while reinforcing the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel and their families.

Speaking at the event, the NAFOWA National President, Mrs Ngozi Aneke, described the outreach as a deliberate humanitarian extension of the Nigerian Air Force’s resolve to honour the sacrifices of its personnel by safeguarding the wellbeing of their families.

She noted that NAFOWA remains aligned with the Service’s welfare philosophy through the delivery of targeted healthcare, social support and empowerment initiatives designed to promote family stability, morale and resilience within the Nigerian Air Force community.

Mrs Aneke stressed that sustained attention to health and social welfare is critical to morale and operational effectiveness, adding that the outreach was designed not only to provide tangible assistance but also to convey reassurance, solidarity and institutional care to beneficiaries.

The outreach aligns with the Chief of the Air Staff’s welfare-first leadership priority, which recognises personnel wellbeing as a strategic enabler of operational readiness and mission success.

Mrs Aneke expressed appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, the Commander 053 NAF Camp, Nigerian Air Force medical personnel, volunteers, partners and other stakeholders for their support. She reaffirmed NAFOWA’s commitment to remaining a dependable humanitarian partner in advancing the Nigerian Air Force’s welfare agenda and people-centred objectives.
