Lagos, Nigeria, June 21, 2024 – In a significant move to enhance their academic and professional development, students from the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS) embarked on an informative local study tour to the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).
The visit It was learnt is aimed at familiarizing the students with NIMASA’s roles and responsibilities, particularly in addressing contemporary security challenges through initiatives like the Deep Blue project.
The delegation, led by Acting Commandant of NAIS, Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, included young officers, counter-intelligence officers, and senior non-commissioned officers (SNCOs). Upon their arrival, they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Heakey Dimowo, Director of Marine and Environmental Management at NIMASA, who provided comprehensive insights into the agency’s statutory responsibilities and contributions to maritime safety.
