The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Faruk Yahaya, is set to meet field commanders to evaluate all ongoing operational engagements of the Nigerian Army during the first quarter COAS Conference.
The Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu, made this known in a statement on Friday in Abuja.
Nwachukwu said the conference was with a view to effectively project into the future by providing an interactive framework between the COAS and the field commanders.
According to him, the conference will provide a platform for the Nigerian army to appraise its performance for the year 2022.
“Additionally, it will retrospectively and holistically evaluate all ongoing operational engagements by the Nigerian army, with a view to effectively project into the future.
“Expectedly, it will also provide an interactive framework between the COAS and Field Commanders.
“There will be series of briefs and presentations in the coming days which will include updates on operations, training, logistics, welfare among other topical issues,” he said. (NAN)
