The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed that its C-130 aircraft, which earlier made a precautionary landing in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso, has safely departed and arrived in Accra, Ghana, in line with an updated flight plan.
In a statement on Sunday, the NAF said the aircraft is now preparing for onward movement to Portugal via Banjul and Casablanca, where it is scheduled to undergo routine depot maintenance.
The Air Force assured the public that all personnel on board remain safe and that the aircraft is fully serviceable, stressing that the precautionary landing was conducted in line with established safety procedures.
The NAF also expressed appreciation to members of the public for their concern and support, reaffirming its commitment to the highest standards of safety and professionalism in all operations.
According to the Service, the development will not affect ongoing operations, as the Nigerian Air Force continues to discharge its responsibilities effectively and in line with international aviation best practices.
