Port Harcourt, Nigeria – The Chief of  Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla, on Sunday flagged off the Nigerian Navy’s (NN) Annual Sea Inspection with the deployment of 15 warships and 3 helicopters.

The Flag-Off ceremony, held aboard the Nigerian Naval Ship (NNS) KADA in Port Harcourt, marked the commencement of the 2024 exercise, codenamed Exercise DEIN ABAJI.

The exercise, which translates to “Calm Waters” in the Kalabari dialect, is a key demonstration of the Navy’s readiness to protect Nigeria’s maritime domain, vital to the country’s economic prosperity.
