The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced that the grand finale of its 61st anniversary celebrations will take place in Lagos on May 23, with an aerial display featuring some of its aircraft.
In a statement released on Saturday, Squadron Leader Abigail Ologun, spokesperson for the NAF Logistics Command, confirmed that rehearsals for the aerial performance began on Thursday and will run through Friday.
She noted that the display is designed not only to add colour to the celebration but also to demonstrate the operational capability and readiness of the Air Force.
“Members of the public are hereby advised to remain calm, go about their lawful activities, and avoid unnecessary panic during the aircraft display,” the statement read.
The NAF’s 61st anniversary is expected to draw high-level participation and highlight the Force’s contributions to national security and air power development over the years.
