The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has reiterated the Nigerian Air Force’s (NAF) commitment to accountability and financial prudence as essential components of its operational effectiveness.
Speaking as the Guest of Honour at the 2024 NAF Finance Seminar held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the MD Umar Blue Room, NAF Headquarters, Air Marshal Abubakar emphasized the importance of efficient resource management to support modern air power needs.
Highlighting the role of the NAF’s Accounts and Budget Branch, the Air Marshal noted that financial management is not only crucial for operational success but also a moral obligation. He called on all officers, regardless of rank, to uphold accountability in financial dealings, emphasizing that accountability builds trust both within the Air Force and with the Nigerian public.
Air Marshal Abubakar urged participants to develop innovative strategies to enhance the NAF’s operational capabilities while ensuring judicious use of financial resources.
