• Air operations by Operations Hadin Kai and Whirl Punch yield successful outcomes across multiple regions

In a series of coordinated airstrikes, the Nigerian Air Force has dealt significant blows to terrorist groups and illegal refining sites, demonstrating its commitment to national security and stability.

Under Operation Hadin Kai in the Northeast, air assets targeted a gathering of terrorists in Chinene, located within the Mandara mountain area. Seven-gun trucks and assembly areas were obliterated in the strike, effectively disrupting terrorist activities and destroying their logistics. Similarly, Operation Whirl Punch, operating in the North Central region, conducted pre-emptive strikes in Allawa village, near Shiroro in Niger State. These strikes were prompted by credible intelligence indicating terrorist presence following the evacuation of local residents. The Air Component swiftly engaged and neutralized several terrorists, preventing further occupation of the area.

Furthermore, the Nigerian Air Force extended its operations to the Niger Delta region, targeting illegal refining sites north of Arugbana and Temakiri. By destroying these sites, the Air Force aims to curb the activities of oil thieves and minimize their ability to sabotage oil pipelines, thus safeguarding the nation’s economic interests.

The success of these operations was confirmed through Battle Damage Assessment footages, showcasing the precision and effectiveness of the airstrikes in neutralizing threats and disrupting illicit activities.

These decisive actions underscore the Nigerian military’s resolve to combat terrorism and criminality across various regions of the country, ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.

The Nigerian Air Force remains vigilant and proactive in its efforts to maintain peace and security, reaffirming its commitment to protecting the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
