Owerrinta, Abia State — October 24, 2025: The Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance (NNCAF), Owerrinta, has held its 8th, 9th, and 10th Combined Convocation Ceremony, marking another milestone in the institution’s pursuit of academic excellence and professional development.

The event, held at the College Auditorium on Friday, October 24, 2025, followed a Convocation Lecture and Governing Council meeting on Thursday, October 23. The lecture, titled “Pathways to Impact: Turning Education into a Meaningful Career,” was delivered by Professor Basil Nwosu of Ebonyi State University.

A total of 55 students from the Departments of Accountancy, Business Administration and Management, and Office Technology and Management received National and Higher National Diplomas during the convocation.

The ceremony attracted distinguished guests, including the Executive Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, represented by Commander Macdonald Ubah (Rtd); the Chief of Training, Naval Headquarters, Rear Admiral Clement Egbinta Atebi; as well as senior naval officers and dignitaries from various security formations.

In his goodwill message, Governor Otti, represented by Commander Ubah, congratulated the graduands and commended the Nigerian Navy for its sustained commitment to human capacity development and national progress.

Speaking at the event, Rear Admiral Atebi lauded the College’s rising profile as a centre of excellence in finance and management education, emphasizing its role in equipping naval personnel and civilians with critical professional skills.

The Commandant of the College, Commodore Babatunde Usman Quadri, charged the graduands to remain disciplined, uphold integrity, and apply the knowledge and values gained from their training in service to the nation.

The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to outstanding students and a group photograph session with dignitaries and staff.
