In the early hours of Saturday, June 21, 2025, all Commands, Units, Ships, and Establishments of the Nigerian Navy (NN) across the country simultaneously participated in the second quarter route march exercise.

In Abuja, the 10-kilometre march began at approximately 6:15 a.m. from the Naval Unit in Asokoro, with personnel moving through the AYA roundabout and advancing to the bypass bridge near Mogadishu Barracks.

Speaking at the end of the exercise, the Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla—represented by the Managing Director/CEO of Admiralty Integrated Farms Limited, Rear Admiral Julius Nwagu—highlighted the significance of the exercise.

Rear Admiral Nwagu noted that the route march was organized both as a show of force and as part of efforts to enhance the physical and mental well-being of naval personnel. He commended participants for their discipline and endurance and encouraged them to uphold professionalism in their duties and daily conduct.

He further urged naval personnel to remain loyal to Nigeria’s democracy and continue offering unwavering support to constituted authorities.

The nationwide march is part of ongoing efforts by the Nigerian Navy to ensure operational readiness, unit cohesion, and physical fitness across its ranks.
