The Theatre Commander, Major General Christopher Musa has commissioned a Borehole Water System at 21 Special Armoured Brigade Medical Reception Station (MRS) as well as a newly renovated Brigade Commander’s Guest House in Giwa Barracks.
Speaking during the commission, the Theatre Commander lauded the Commander 5 Brigade, Brigadier General GO Olorunyomi for embarking on projects geared towards improving the welfare of the barracks community.
He also addressed barrack women, encouraging them and the entire barrack community to imbibe good maintenance culture and utilize the project appropriately.
While assuring the public of the military’s commitment and resilience in ending the war against terrorism, Maj Gen Musa urged barrack women to continue to support their spouses and the military in general. In his words he said, “your support means a lot to us, at most times it is our primary morale booster and the knowledge of it keeps us going and pushing hard”.
Highlight of the event was the visit to the MRS, assessment tour of the barracks, presentation of plaque and cash donation to barrack women.
