Lagos, Nigeria – The Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Western Naval Command and Commander Joint Task Force Operation AWATSE, Rear Admiral MB Hassan, has commended the Commandant of the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS), Brigadier General Kingsley Nwoko, for significant improvements at the institution.
The commendation was made during the recent graduation ceremony for students who completed various intelligence courses.
Rear Admiral Hassan highlighted the advancements in infrastructure, academic programs, and staff welfare at the school, noting that these enhancements align with the Chief of Army Staff’s Command Philosophy.
He praised the school’s innovative approach, which he said has strengthened its ability to meet contemporary security challenges.
Graduating students from the Young Officers Course, Counter Intelligence Officers Course, and Advanced Intelligence Operative Course were recognized for their commitment to their studies. The final exercise, which involved dealing with modern security threats using advanced technical equipment, was particularly noted for its realistic and up-to-date methods.
Acting Commandant Brigadier General Nwoko expressed gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff and the Chief of Military Intelligence for their continuous support. He reaffirmed the school’s mission to produce graduates capable of excelling in joint operational environments.
The ceremony was attended by high-ranking military officials and representatives from various security agencies. The event featured an inspection of the quarter guard, the presentation of certificates, and the awarding of prizes to outstanding students. Notable awards included the late Brigadier General DK Zirkushu Prize for the overall best student and the late Lieutenant Colonel AK Unobe Prize for excellence in Technical Intelligence.
