The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, earlier on Thursday joined the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lieutenant General Parker Undiandeye, alongside other Service Chiefs, Principal Staff Officers from Defence and Services Headquarters, as well as family members and well-wishers, at the investiture ceremony of the immediate past Chief of Policy and Plans (Army), Lieutenant General Abdulsami Ibrahim.
The ceremony, which took place in Abuja, marked a significant milestone in the officer’s illustrious career, as he was decorated with the rank of Lieutenant General by the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Olufemi Oluyede.
Following his elevation, Lt Gen Ibrahim will proceed on retirement after 35 years of distinguished and meritorious service to the Nigerian Army and the nation.
