Officers of the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) recently met to brainstorm on the setting of collective goals that would pave way for a harmonised and effective approach to naval training and operations.
The Flag Officer Commanding (NAVTRAC), Rear Admiral I.M. Albara hosted the discussion during his first official meeting with Commandants of Nigerian Navy Professional Schools.
The gathering was held at the Naval Training Command Conference Room in Ebubu-Eleme, Rivers State, and focused on discussing key issues and setting the strategic direction for the Nigerian Navy’s training mission.
During the meeting, Rear Admiral Albara stressed the importance of sports, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and fostering synergy among the various professional schools and units under the command. He emphasized the need for continuous improvement in training standards, infrastructure, and human capacity development to align with the Navy’s broader goals.
The Commandants briefed the FOC on the current state of their schools, highlighting challenges, achievements, and future plans. This platform allowed for open discussions and the setting of collective goals aimed at creating a more harmonized and effective approach to naval training and operations.
